My name is Patrick McDonald, and pictured beside me is my wingman, Yogi.

Companions Company was this idea that dawned on me to utilize graphic design as an avenue to express my gratitude and appreciation for the joy dogs bring in life. The inspiration behind Companions Company stems from the adventures and memories made with my companion, Yogi, as well as hearing about other peoples’ stories with their companions. My goal is to portray a story behind each graphic that enables people to create their own narrative.

When we’re scrolling through our social media feeds, coming across moments of dogs and their owners making memories, there are layers to the content that are unperceived. While life’s momentum tends to speed us up, it’s the presence of a dog that is always there to keep us grounded. They serve a purpose in every chapter of our life that consistently reminds us to be present and never take anything for granted.

In the midst of creating these graphics, our mission is to encourage others to seek new hobbies and adventures, whether that’s with or without your furry companion.
